Unit 7

Celebrations & Matchday

Slavlja i navijanje

Čestitke: Celebrations & Wishes

Goal: Congratulate people for every occasion the culture can produce.

Bosnians celebrate everything, and every occasion has its formula: birthdays, New Year, graduations, weddings. Good wishes go to the whole extended network, phone calls included, and yes, there's always baklava.

Svadba: The Wedding

Goal: Survive and enjoy a Bosnian wedding, including the kolo.

A Bosnian wedding runs six-plus hours, the kolo forms whether you're ready or not, and there's always one daidža who owns the dance floor. When the sevdalinka comes on and the whole room sings, you'll want the words.

Utakmica: Matchday

Goal: Watch a Zmajevi match with full vocabulary and full heart.

Matchday vocabulary is 20% football terms, 80% emotions. 'Zmajevi' is the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, and a World Cup summer means this lesson gets used immediately.

Veliki poziv: The Big Call (Capstone)

Goal: Capstone review: hold a full 2-minute phone call with nana covering greetings, food, plans, and love, using all 5 units.

If a learner completes this lesson, they can genuinely do the thing the app promised on day one: call their nana, make her laugh, tell her they're coming home, and mean every word. That's the product.

Ponavljanje 1: Review 1 (Units 1-5)

Goal: A cumulative check-in: greetings, family, numbers, food, and shopping from your first five units, all together.

Every few units, nana quizzes you on everything at once. This is that. No new words, just proof it all stuck.
