Mom in Bosnian
mama
mama is the Bosnian word for mom.
How it's used
'majka' = mother (more formal); mama is what you actually call her.
From the lesson: Family
The extended family vocabulary is where Bosnian gets famously precise: your mother's brother (daidža), father's brother (amidža), and aunt by marriage (strina) all have different words. Nana and dedo come first because they're the reason most of us are learning.
