Weather & the Calendar
Vrijeme i kalendar
Kakvo je vrijeme?: What's the Weather?
Goal: I can ask about and describe the weather, the small talk that opens every call.
Weather is the official opening ceremony of every diaspora call. Master 'Kakvo je vrijeme kod vas?' and you will never suffer a silent first minute again.

Šta se nosi, šta se radi: Dressing & Doing Through the Seasons
Goal: I can say what to wear and what we do each season, jacket weather to roštilj weather.
'Ponesi jaknu' is not weather advice, it's love. Pack the jacket. You can always take it off at the roštilj.

Kalendar: The Calendar
Goal: I can name months, say the date, and use my first ordinals.
All twelve months are near-cognates and read exactly as written: januar, februar, mart, april, maj, juni, juli, august, septembar, oktobar, novembar, decembar. Lowercase, no surprises, you already knew them.

Svi mjeseci: All the Months
Goal: I can name all twelve months and say in which month things happen.
Lowercase, no surprises, and it is august, not avgust, in the Bosnian standard. Diaspora calendar truth: the only two months nana tracks are juli (you arrive) and august (you leave).

Planovi kroz godinu: Plans Through the Year
Goal: I can plan the year with family, who comes when, birthdays, the annual vacation.
Every diaspora family calendar has the same two entries: 'u julu' and 'sljedeće godine, svi zajedno'. One is a plan, the other is a promise.

| jedva čekamo | we can't wait |
Moj raspored: My Schedule
Goal: Say what you do on which days and produce your own weekly routine.
Not clock-reading, this is your week. Tell nana your schedule so she knows the best day to call.
| Audio | Bosnian | English |
|---|---|---|
| ponedjeljak | Monday | |
| subota | Saturday | |
| nedjelja | Sunday | |
| vikend | weekend |
