Where are you from? in Bosnian
odakle si?
odakle si? is how you say where are you from? in Bosnian.
How it's used
The question every diaspora kid gets.
From the lesson: Introductions
When you meet older relatives, expect a cheek kiss (usually two or three, region-dependent) and 'čija si ti?', 'whose are you?', because in Bosnia you're identified by your family first. Being able to answer 'Ja sam [name], [dad's name] sin/kćerka' is social gold.
